All Aboard for Steampunk

October 27th, 2008 · Comments Off on All Aboard for Steampunk

The 2008 Steampunk Convention is now ready to leave from the Domain Hotel in Sunnyvale. All aboard, please. If you haven’t yet bought your tickets, they are available from the booking office web site. One of the principal attractions on your journey will be a rare west coast appearance for the very wonderful Ann and Jeff VanderMeer, editors of the fabulous Steampunk anthology (as published by Tachyon Publications). Be there, or be boringly modern.

Litquake Event Reports

October 19th, 2008 · Comments Off on Litquake Event Reports

Our Litquake event may have been the most widely reported yet. Jacob has photos up on Flickr, but the event also made the news in SF/SF, the San Francisco science fiction fanzine, and on GalleyCat, a major publishing industry blog.

Technology Update

October 19th, 2008 · Comments Off on Technology Update

Those of you who know about such things may have noticed that since web launched this new web site our domain of sfinsf.org has been redirecting to sfsfc.org/sfinsf. Well, the time has some to work the Internet magic that will map our domain onto the hosting space kindly provided for us by SFSFC. That will be happening later today. Hopefully most people won’t notice any difference, but if you are subscribed to this blog via the RSS feed you may need to resubscribe once the shift has happened. If you don’t see any posts in your feed reader by next weekend you’ll know that you are not longer getting updates. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
