Incredibles 2

June 11th, 2018 · Comments Off on Incredibles 2

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in Incredibles 2 — but this time Helen is in the spotlight, leaving Bob at home with Violet and Dash to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again — which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible!

With the voices of Holly Hunter, Craig T. Nelson, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson, Brad Bird, Isabella Rossellini, John Ratzenberger, and many more!

One of the literary greats, Michael Moorcock is an English science fiction and fantasy writer, best known for his novels about Elric of Melniboné and Jerry Cornelius. As editor of the British SF magazine New Worlds, in the 1960s and 1970s, Moorcock fostered the development of the SF “New Wave” in the UK and the US. Moorcock collaborated with the British rock band Hawkwind on many occasions, as well as writing lyrics for Blue Öyster Cult. Moorcock also has his own music project, recording as Michael Moorcock & The Deep Fix.

Central to many of his fantasy novels is the concept of an “Eternal Champion” who has potentially multiple identities across multiple dimensions of reality and alternative universes. This cosmology is called the “Multiverse” within his novels, and is based on the concept which arose in particle physics in the 1960s and is still a current theory in high energy physics. The Multiverse deals with good and evil, law and chaos, and order and entropy.

Michael Moorcock has received great recognition for his career contributions as well as for particular works. He was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 2002, and received life achievement awards at the World Fantasy Convention in 2000, the Prix Utopia at the Utopiales International Festival in 2004, the Bram Stoker Award in 2005 from the Horror Writers Association, and was named a Grand Master in 2008 by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
