Our February reading has just become a little more special, because Jedidiah Berry has today been announced as the winner of this year’s William L. Crawford Award. The Crawford is awarded for the best debut fantasy book (not necessarily a novel, it has been won by a collection), and Berry’s The Manual of Detection was deemed the best such book of 2009 by the Crawford jury. Further details are available at SF Awards Watch.
